The Japan Hawaii Travel Association (JHTA) will celebrate its 55th anniversary in December 2025. As part of its commitment to giving back to the community in this milestone year, JHTA has launched an "ADOPT-A-BLOCK" initiative. The designated area includes the blocks along Seaside Avenue and Royal Hawaiian Avenue.
We sincerely invite all members to support and participate in this activity to help foster a cleaner, more vibrant environment.
Scheduled Clean-Up Dates
· 1st Event: Wednesday, June 18, 2025 – Completed
· 2nd Event: Wednesday, November 19, 2025 – Upcoming
· 3rd & 4th Events: Planned for 2026
On June 18, JHTA board members led the first round of cleaning efforts in the designated blocks.
On November 19, JHTA held its second "55th Anniversary – ADOPT-A-BLOCK" event of the year, following our first session in June.
It was a productive day with 20 volunteers from 17 member companies coming together to participate in the cleanup. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to making our neighborhood cleaner!
We are currently planning to hold two more cleanup sessions in 2026. We hope to welcome even more members next time as we continue our efforts to support the community.
What is ADOPT-A-BLOCK? ADOPT-A-BLOCK is a volunteer program that encourages residents, businesses, and organizations to take responsibility for maintaining cleanliness in specific blocks or areas through regular clean-up activities. The goal is to enhance community pride and preserve the environment.
